RSVP Opportunities

American Cancer Society: Help someone along the road to recovery. Volunteers needed to drive cancer patients for treatment. Included local and out-of-town trips.

Area Agency on Aging:
Ombudsman Program. Be an advocate for the rights of seniors in nursing homes.

The Castle: Volunteer "where history lives." Docent training is ongoing for 2011 season. Also need grounds assistance and handyman.

Franciscan Meals:
Drivers needed to deliver meals to shut-ins. Serve 1 to 2 times per month. Also need help in the office.

Glenwood RSVP 5K: Volunteers needed to help with the race. Pass out race packets, serve refreshments, work out on the course. 7 - 11 a.m. Saturday, September 24.

Harmar School:
Volunteers needed to read to kindergarten and first grade children and ask questions like, "What do you think is going to happen next?" or "What was your favorite part?"

Marietta Community Food Pantry:
Assemble food boxes, assist with application intake. Stronger bodies needed to unload food truck on Fridays.

Marietta Hospice:
Direct and indirect volunteer opportunities available. Make a difference.

Marietta Memorial Hospital: Patient Information Desk: Mondays 4-8 p.m. and Patient Escort (lots of walking): Tuesday or Friday, noon to 4 p.m.

WASCO:
Assist with daily activities in this wonderful program for adults with disabilties. Flexible hours.

Washington State Community College: Tutors needed for the Learning Center.
